My name is Claudia Ruiz (Also known as Raven), and I am the photographer at Taken by Raven, a small business company based in Somerset NJ.

I specialize in painterly / fine art style Quinceañera and Sweet 16 portrait photography.

In Childhood, I would spend hours looking at family photo albums with my Grandma and this helped me appreciate and love photography, and enhanced my love of storytelling through photos. ​

With the help and support of my husband and children, as well as family and friends, I decided to take the leap into professional photography. It has been a fascinating 8 year journey!

I strive to combine the delicate look of a quinceanera mixed with fine art textures for a classy look that will stand the test of time, give all my clients an amazing experience, and capture the true essence of their beauty.

It is my great pleasure to uncover your beauty and soul. I love to capture your smiles, your interactions and present them to you with our finest prints, luxurious albums, and high quality digital photos. Most of all, I love to provide you with an extraordinary and fun experience.  

 Your experience will start with a meeting at my studio. Our first meeting is important because it will help us get our ideas together and to make your vision into a reality. It is also very important for us to meet a few times before your event, this way we can get to know each other and you will feel comfortable with me and my team on the day of your session/event.
