We know the day of your event can be hectic with so much going on. Here’s a list of things to keep in mind for your big day. Si necesita esta pagina en Espanol haga click aqui

  • Make sure you hire your vendors at least 6-12 months in advance. This will guarantee you have the vendors you really want for your party
  • Make a playlist for the limo ride, this way you won’t be fumbling through songs, and you can enjoy your ride.
  • Always smile during your special dance with your dad!
  • When dancing with dad, don’t dig your face in his shoulder or chest too much, we want to be able to see your face.
  • Don’t chew gum. It willl make you look like you have an open mouth in most pictures, and it is not flattering.
  • Pick shoes that are easy to put on for your shoe change. Remember, dad does not wear high heels, so make it easier for him!
  • Also, dads, please don’t block the shoe and your daughter’s foot with your knee. Remember we have to get the shot, don’t hide it too much.
  • Make sure you practice your special dance with your dress and heels on. Sometimes the dances are very elavorate, and it might be more difficult to do lifts and turns with a big dress and heels, so practicing is a must!  Also, it would be ideal to have at least 1 practice at the venue, the space you have at the venue might be bigger than what you are used to, and it might throw off your perception during the dance. Your photographer and videographer might need to go to a couple of rehearsals to make sure they know the routine and get the best angles, don’t forget to keep them in the loop with the scheduling.
  • If possible, at your venue, make a special wall area where you can take pics with your guests.
  • Going table by table is a bit outdated, and this wall will give you a much better background. You could ask your DJ to announce that pics will be taken at this wall and that guests will be called by table before they get their food; (if Buffett style) get their picture taken and then line up for food.
  • Always have a back up lighter for your 15/16 candles.
  • Your photographer/videographer has to know everything that’s going on in your party. Give them all the schedules early on and advise them of any changes made to the itinerary. This is very important, it can make or break your pics/video.
  • Advise your guests that they can take pictures and videos with their phones, but to be mindful of your photographer and videographer. They might get in our shot and ruin the moment!
  • You can make a special IG hashtag, so people can add all the pics taken at your party and add them to that hashtag. Then you’ll have your professional pics and  your guest’s view of the event.
  • Be the life of the party! Always be in the front for all line dances (Cha Cha slide, Cupid Shuffle, etc.)
  • Remember, it is your party, you’re the Queen of the day. Have fun!
  • Have a designated person (other than your parents, you want them to have fun) you can go to in case of any mishaps, somebody you can quickly vent with, and then go back to partying. Don’t be a Quincezilla/ Bridezilla! it’s not pretty!
  • Remember to please leave a space for us to set our equipment. We don’t need a lot, but we need a safe space for our bags.
  • We are here to help and make your day special. Have fun and dance the night away!
